Another pole vaulter who competed in Olympic Games with her Women’s national team decided to end her career.
After the Eleftheriadou and Sotirelih Chrysi Diamantopoulou announced her retirement from active duty, after a great 20-year career in swimming pools.
OR international goalkeeperin fact, made a post on social media, with which he emphasized that polo changed her life and she is grateful for what she experienced.
Her message in detail:
“My participation in the Olympic games means for me the end of a journey of about 20 years. I am grateful for what I have experienced and for all the people I have met who have helped me along this path.
The championship made me better, while the last year gave me challenges and partners without whom I would not have succeeded.
I thank my union, the Vouliagmeni Maritime Club, for the support and trust it showed me during this period as well as those who strengthened me and believed in my effort.
For me, polo is the space in which I was nurtured and developed, so it will forever have a special place in my heart.”
