EEC social media launch from the summer of the national teams

The announcement of the EEC:

The National Teams were, as always, the protagonists of the summer. Much more so this year, with the biggest event in world sports on the schedule: The Olympic Games! The National Men’s National Team, the progress of the National Youth Men’s National Team, the rise of the National Youth Women’s National Team, the progress of the National Children’s National Team in the Eurobasket U16 in Crete were among the reference points for the Greek blue and white summer with the interest of the world being translated through the rise of EEC social media.

Instagram and Tik Tok were the mediums that showed the greatest increase in people’s interest in National Teams. The first showed a 45% increase in followers, while the second, which is the relatively recent addition to EEC’s social media, showed a 66% increase. In total, 437,893 people are now… followers of the Hellenic Basketball Federation social networks.

During the summer, 3,749 posts and stories were made, which translates into 46 per day (!), there were 15.4 million post video views (471% increase), 91.6 million post impressions (390% increase), while there was an 8.5% engagement rate!

All this shows the work done by the EEC in this field as well, but it also shows something much more important, something we experienced this year in the stadiums: The world’s love for basketball, the world’s love for the national teams of all ages , wherever they compete!
