On Friday, September 6, Panagiotatos visited the headquarters of the Regional Unit of Chios, where he received a warm welcome from the Regional Governor of North Aegean and the Regional Councilors.

The Regional Governor Konstantinos Moutzouris described the presence of the Patriarch as a special honor for the Region and symbolically offered him an Archpriest’s cup to receive reciprocating symbolic souvenirs of the historic visit.

In the afternoon of the same day, a “Day on Climate Change” was held with the participation of distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad in a packed room of the Pearl Island Chios hotel.

  • Speech by Paralympian, Director of Sustainability at the World Sailing, Alexandra Rickham which emphasized that sport can undertake environmental initiatives and emerge as a potential helper for sustainable development as long as it is asked.

The former President of the Republic, Academic and Honorary Professor of the School of Law of EKPA, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos delivered a speech at the conference on “Climate Change” on Friday, September 6 in Chios as part of the 3rd Chios Festival, which we have attached.
