Michalis Kountouris was on Thursday at the Olympiakos men’s handball team training ahead of next Saturday’s Super Cup final against PAOK at the Ilioupoli stadium. We will always ask for victories and titles and this year, which marks 100 years since the foundation of the club, we want more than that from you.
Olympiacos is the biggest club in Greece and I don’t say that to belittle the other teams. Last year was a historic year for the club. We experienced moments of glory in the final with 7,000 people in the stands. I want you to work it into your mind, that it is a goal left unfulfilled. To relive this year successfully, a similar moment to last year. We have the Super Cup ahead of us. This is the first goal of the year for the whole club and it is very important to conquer it. Our world is waiting for him and he will be very happy for this title to come so that we can start this historic season perfectly”.
