“With a Female Imprint” is the title of the event of EAOM-Disabled next Tuesday at the InterContinental and is held on the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day, while it is under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The evening, the second half of which will have an interactive form, and will end with the emergence of five women from the field of science, music, acting and journalism as Ambassadors of EAOM-Disabled, will highlight the important role of athletes with a disability, but also of all the women who have contributed, each with her own personality, so that the woman with a disability can emerge through sports.
In the person of the Athens Paralympian, Paraskevi Kantza, EAOM-AmeA will award the disabled athlete who is a worker, wife and mother, while the wheelchair fencing athlete, Kelly Loufaki, as ambassador of #BEACTIVE program and the role it plays, in order to encourage young children to engage in exercise and sports.
The Director of the Breast Center of HYGEIA Hospital, Irini Karyda, will refer to the early diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases and the contribution of science to athletes, while, during the event, a recorded message of Evangelia Nikou will be shown. Then, the floor will be given to the athletes who are in the A` category of the design of summer individual and team sports of EAOM-AmeA. Before the musical part of the event, whose protagonist will be the Greek composer and accordion soloist, Zoe Tiganouria, all five Ambassadors of EAOM-AmeA will be announced, who will be invited, through the space they serve, to communicate the actions of the multidisciplinary the important role it plays in society and the sports movement.
