Giannakopoulos: “Many people, the Angelopoulos, wanted me not to honor my father”

So from today me I am morally unable to discuss anything with these two gentlemen again. For me now it’s like they don’t exist. I also imagined that after a week when the whole of Greece, the whole planet, has judged their action, that they might have come out and apologized, realizing their mistake. But it seems that they are two happy-go-lucky people, the last thing they care about is this. That was their purpose.

I’m getting away from that and going a bit into the law. Gentlemen, sports law should exist in every country. But it suddenly appeared that there is a loophole in this law. When some people are given the opportunity to file such lawsuits and given the opportunity – according to the law, the man did well, since the law gives him the right – for the sports judge to put such restrictive conditions, so that in the end I cannot go to I honor my father, something which in words you all have considered wrong and unfair, I expect as the owner of Panathinaikos, as a citizen of Greece, that this sports law has already changed and not to change, to adapt. So that punishments are provided for those who really should be punished with just punishments.

The roof was leaking, too many things. And they were neither embellishments, nor extra luxuries. It was to build the stadium. So, again, I won’t be able to go and see the investment I’ve made up close, because I have been complained by people who demand – from what I read – 15 to 18 million to build the SEF.

But gentlemen, that is unfair competition here does not exist? I repeat, KAE Panathinaikos has paid 15 million of which proven, at least half of them, are for corrections of the stadium that did not work, which we did not have the opportunity to check before taking delivery of the stadium. I’m not complaining about that. But I complain that it is not possible for me not to be able to go and see my investment that I have paid from my own pocket, for a complaint of people who demand public money, 15 to 18 million to build the SEF, if what I have is true read. If they don’t, sorry, I take it back. But that’s what I’m reading and I haven’t seen it refuted anywhere. So we cannot live in such a country. Some things need to be fixed.
