The 25-year-old Stamatouros, alongside his presence at Olympiakos, made the country of the Iberian Peninsula the fourth stop in his international career this year. He had competed in France for several years and then tried his hand in Denmark and Poland.

At the end of September, the 2024-2025 season began in the Spanish Men’s League with the participation of 12 teams. The club from Ibiza hosted the University of Burgos with Stamatouros lining up as the first player. In the trio he was together with Franco Medina and Kit Chun.

In his debut, the 2021 Greek men’s singles champion defeated Spain’s Daniel Berthosa in 3-1 sets. He then faced the Czech Simon Belik and was defeated in 3-0 sets. In the end, it tied at 3-3.
