Seven groups were in favor of canceling all the results with the Russian teamswhile maintaining the same results as with the Russians until their departure and calculating the ranking with a percentage of victories, six teams preferred.

According to the authoritative Turkish journalist Ismail Seniol, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos lined up in different camps. The “red and whites” reportedly voted in favor of the scoring system that was finally voted along with Efes, CSKA, Bayern, Maccabi, Baskonia and Zalgiris, while the “greens” sided with Villeurbanne, Fenerbahce, Barcelona, ​​but Barcelona.
