Kanaan: “The Olympiakos-Panathinaikos derby prepared me for the Red Stars-Partizan”

Fully prepared for his Serbian derby Red Star with Partizan on November 29, Kanaan declares to Serbian Eurohoops. His former ace Olympiakou and now of Red Star pointed out that the Greek derbies of the “eternal” have prepared him for the great specificity of those of his new team.

His statements to the Serbian Eurohoops in detail:

For Red Star:

“I think we have the right pieces to make things happen, but we have to take it step by step. We are all new faces here so we need to build chemistry. I like our chances against everyone.”

For the atmosphere created by his fans:



“I love these types of atmospheres and games. We have one of the best fans, if not the best, in the Euroleague. To be able to come here and be a part of this family and not have to change colors is a big motivator and I’m excited to try and do things that haven’t been done before.”

To customize:



“It’s different, but a good feeling. We have a good group of players and an excellent coach. He talked to me and made me feel comfortable about what he was trying to build and add, while at the same time letting me be myself. Along with his goal, which is to win, make the playoffs and hopefully the Final Four, those are all things I want to be a part of. It’s a great organization and that made it an easy decision for me to come.”

“Being part of the rivalry in Greece prepared me for the rivalry in Belgrade. It’s another great opportunity to come here and compete with my brothers, with the team, try to win and get our affairs in order.”
