Lloyd says goodbye to Maccabi Tel Aviv – Heading to Monaco again

by

THE Jordan Lloyd he left last night from Maccabi Tel Avivafter losing to Monacodue to the conditions prevailing in Israel.

With the American guard uploading to his personal account on “X» it farewell message of to the “group of the people”.

One of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my career is leave where my heart wanted me to be. I’ve become so close with all my brothers (including his teammates), coaches and staff. I enjoyed being around you guys and the atmosphere you all create. Thanks for having me.

To our supporters, you have shown me so much love in just a few months and I couldn’t be more grateful.

When I signed here this summer, I went against my family’s concerns because of how much I wanted to play for this club and the people here. With the information I received, I took a risk and left my family behind thinking that the situation was on the decline.

I wished and hoped that it would all be over and we could be together again later in Tel Aviv.

It seems the situation has escalated though, and after the historic attack earlier this month that I personally experienced, the uncertainty was just too much for my family and me.

I leave with a heavy heart but also knowing that I am very lucky that a game is my job. Real people are having a very hard time and I can only hope it ends.

I understand everything, the reactions, the negativity and above all I know that God is making the way, not me.

Maccabi, thank you and I hope we can meet again one day. I wish you nothing but the best».

According to reports, Lloyd is expected to return to the Principality on behalf of Monaco, signing a contract until the end of the season.
