OR police and the Shin Bet security service announced that they recently disbanded a group of five Arab Israeli citizens who were preparing to carry out an attack where they would plant a bomb in a car bomb at the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv.

The five arrested residents of Taybeh in central Israel they had links to ISIS, according to the Times of Israel.

Authorities arrested the five men after a month-long undercover investigation and will be charged in the coming days.

The team captains were Mahmoud Azam and Ibrahim Sheik Yousef. They recruited three others – Sajed Masarwa, Abdullah Baransi and Abdel Kareem Baransi

Police and Sin Bet say the 5 arrested were studying terrorist attacks in Syria and had discussions about the amount of explosives needed to bring down Tel Aviv’s iconic Azrieli Towers. They say Azam and Yousef were in contact with foreign ISIS operatives and planned to travel abroad to meet with ISIS operatives.
