THE Pablo Garcia gave an interview in Spanish AS and mentioned, among other things, PAOK, who, as he said, will always remember him with great pride.

He then spoke about Atromitos saying that in a short period of time the team has made a lot of progress.

In detail:

How many years have you been in Greece?

“I’ve been here 16 years, which is a long time. I finished my football career at PAOK, started coaching, going through all the youth categories until I reached the first team, and I’m still here, now in Athens. My wife and children have adapted well to the country and we are happy.”

You were always connected with PAOK…

“Yes, it was a team that invested a lot in me. They reinvigorated me in the latter part of my playing career, gave me confidence when I needed it most and I was able to contribute as much as I could. I immediately identified with the club and its fans. It was an unforgettable period that I remember with great pride.”

How is Atromitos?

“I’m taking my first steps at the club. Last year I coached Panserraikos and we had a great season, finishing in 7th place. Now here we lack nothing, it is a serious club, I have the support of the management and we have all the necessary tools to grow. We have to work hard because we have created a completely new team, with 18 transfers. For the short time we have been together, the progress is great and we are doing well.”

Would you like to train in Spain?

“Of course I would like to. I would love it. You prepare a whole life to be a good coach and to meet big challenges, and then the twists and turns of life take you from one place to another.”
