The season begins… Milan Rastavac to OFI!
With a statement issued at noon on Sunday (13/10), the Cretans announced the start of cooperation them with the 51-year-old Serbian technician, with both sides signing a contract until the summer of 2026!
Let’s remember that the Serb was removed from his bench almost a month ago Starafter a win, a loss and a draw, while at OFI he replaces him Traiano Della, who left a few days ago due to a family problem.
This evening, Rastavac’s two colleagues are expected to arrive in Heraklion, with the coach himself giving one more day off for his footballers, so that everyone can meet for the first time next Tuesday (15/10) in his first training at OFI.
OFI’s announcement in detail:
“PAE OFI 1925 announces the start of cooperation with coach Mr. Milan Rastavac, who signed a contract until the summer of 2026.
The 51-year-old (born 1/11/73) Serbian coach, has excellent knowledge of the Greek league, having given his credentials both as coach of Xanthi (2017-2019), and with his double presence on the bench of Asteras Tripoli , initially from December 2019 to June 2022 & the 2023/24 season up to the 3rd matchday of this year’s championship).
Among others, he has worked in Vojvodina (2022-23) and Radnicki Nis (2015-2017). He has been the Federal coach of the infrastructure departments of Serbia, while in the summer of 2018 he was a member of the Serbian national team that participated in the final phase of the world cup in Russia.
His direct collaborators at OFI will be Mr. Goran Saula and Vladimir Ilic, who will join Nikos Koundourakis, Antonis Lykouris and Dimos Christofis in the technical team.
