Mendy: ‘And the City boss attended my parties – I was the only one to blame, I had no money for my child’

Benjamin Mendy launched bombsduring an interview with the “Telegraph”. The French defender has spoken openly for the first time about allegations that he raped several women at a house party.

We all broke the Covid-19 restrictions. That doesn’t excuse my behavior but I feel it’s unfair that Manchester City singled me out in the way they did.”the French full-back says in an excerpt of the interview.

His monthly salary of 500 thousand pounds Mendi withheld from Manchester City following the complaint against him in 2021. His contract also saw him receive £900,000 for playing 60% of games, a £1m bonus if Manchester City won the Champions League and an annual payment £1.2m to his image rights company.

“I struggled to pay my child support when Manchester City stopped paying me. I felt terrible… Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez lent me money to help me try to pay my legal fees and support my family.”he added.
