KAE PAOK mateco announces the agreement with the basketball player Alexander Antetokounmpo, who will play for our team until the end of the 2024-25 season. We welcome Alex to the PAOK family!
Alexandros Emeka Antetokounmpo was born in Athens on August 27, 2001 and is the youngest of the Antetokounmpo brothers and the fourth after Giannis, Thanasis and Kostas to play professional basketball! He is 2m.03 tall, plays as a forward and with PAOK mateco will make his first appearance in the Stoiximan GBL.
Alex Antetokounmpo played basketball in the USA and at Dominican High School. In 2020, despite having scholarship offers from renowned American universities, he preferred to come to Europe and play the 2020-21 season in Spain with Murcia. He played in one game in ACB, while with Murcia’s 2nd team he played in Liga EBA and in his debut on 10/18/2020 he scored 28 points with 6/9 three-pointers!
In the 2021-22 season, he played in the GLeague with the Raptors 905 in 15 games (2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds average), while during last season (2022-23), he played in 32 games with the Wisconsin Herd in the GLeague averaging 5.8 points and 3 rebounds. On 3/22/2023 he had his best game, scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds in Wisconsin’s 129-114 win over Grand Rapids.
During the 2023-24 season, he first played in the GLeague with the Wisconsin Herd (5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 34 games), then played in Lithuania with Mazeikai (8 points, 2.3 rebounds in 13 games).
At the beginning of this season, he played in Montenegro with KK Podgorica, with whom he managed to play in three games, to continue his career in PAOK.
