Share prices rose slightly in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, closing well below their highs, as they lost much of their initial gains, with the market closing below the 2,000 points it had initially breached. From the high capitalization, the shares of Titan, Ethniki, ELPE and PPC outperformed.

The market bounced back modestly after five bearish sessions during which the main stock index registered a total loss of 5.81%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,996.23 points, marking an increase of 0.44%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 2,023.26 units (+1.80%).

The value of transactions amounted to 235.08 million euros, while 45,975,979 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.45%, while the mid-cap index fell marginally to 0.07%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Titan (+3.96%), Ethniki (+2.62%), ELPE (+1.77%), PPC (+1.69%), EYDAP (+1.59%), OTE (+1.47%) and Viohalco (+1.31%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of AIA (-2.61%), PPA (-2.10%), Optima Bank (-1.94%), Metlen (-1.55%) and Motor Oil (-1.29%)

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 18,221,760 and 9,809,340 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 61.93 million euros and Eurobank with 33.25 million euros.

82 stocks moved up, 34 fell and 9 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Ilyda (+10.04%) and Doppler (+9.92%).

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimaha (-3.55%) and Proodefuti (-3.36%).
