NBA championship rings every year challenge awethis year, however… and something more! The Celtics, we remind you, they received them before their premiere at dawn against the Knicksin a spectacular celebration at the TD Garden, with the details and the… hundreds of diamonds on them, causing vertigo!
It is typical that each ring for the 18th championship of the Boston team is estimated to cost 40,000 dollars!
Why? Because each ring includes:
– 18 emerald diamonds on the outer bezel, representing the 18 leagues.
– 84 points diamonds on the side, which is a reference to the winning percentage of the Celtics in the playoffs of the season 2023/24.
– 16 emerald diamonds on the inner bezel, symbolizing the total wins in the 2024 playoffs. The results of the four playoff series are also listed on the inside of the body of the ring.
– 30 diamonds on one side of the ring, representing the total seasons played at the historic TD Garden.
– 80 white diamonds, symbolizing the team’s 80 wins during the regular season and playoffs of the 2023/24 season.
– All previous Celtics championships are engraved on the perimeter of the ring.
– On one side of the ring is engraved the Celtics’ overall record in the 2023/2024 season in regular season and playoffs (80-21).
– On the other side is the name and number of each player. To the right and left of the name are two diamonds, symbolizing the team’s total championships under current ownership (the other was in 2008).
– Below the player’s name is the phrase that represented the team throughout the season: “Whatever it Takes”.
– On both sides of the ring the background is the team’s parquet.
– The top of the ring is movable and below it has two hidden elements: A piece of the famous Celtics floor with the date and score of the game. that brought the championship, as well as the championship banner and the jersey number of each Celtics player, who has been retired.
