Archery: Chrysoi Topalidis, Filippou, Hatzigiannis, Farmakis in Italy

The three-day 25-27 October was held in Calvisano o Italian National Shotgun Competitionunder the auspices of Benelli, which was also the last Grand Prix of the year. In addition to the team event, however, the Greek shooters achieved distinctions at the individual level as well, with first and best Michalis Hatzigianni who comfortably took the gold by performing an amazing performance that brought him to the top of all categories, leaving the Italian Sgabatos in second place and Giorgos Filippou in third place who won the battle for the podium against Czech Bures, while the fifth place was taken by the other Italian Alessi, sixth Ukrainian Tarasov and seventh Yannis Topalidis, eighth Italian Bertelli.

To the seniors of the category Modified for the fourth year in a row Topalidis took the gold medal, leaving the Italian Galiberti second and the Belgian Marshall third.

The presence of the new member of the team of Thanasis Farmakis, who took 21st place, and gained experience to have an upward trajectory in the future, was noteworthy.

In Open Poland dominated, after world champion Marcin Tausiewicz took the gold, with Italy’s Forlani second and fellow Pole Niewiadomski third, showing the methodical work their federation has been doing in recent years.

In Standard, the gold was won by the Brazilian Oliveira, the silver by the Italian Manassero and the bronze by the Englishman Kenny.

End of Standard Manual the Polish Skalaski took the gold, leaving the Italians Pasini and Sartori in second and third place.

The Greek internationals, returning, will begin their preparation for the European Snow Canoe Championship, which will take place next June in Hungary, hoping that some races will be held in our country, so that they can gain a rhythm in order to continue the impressive results they have had in recent years
