Dorsey: “You have to be ready for your opportunity”

Tyler Dorsey emphasized that it is a “roller coaster” to play well after a bad previous match, he thinks that they have started to curse their rhythm, that they should have reacted, that they should always show character and that they should “protect” the SEF if they want to stand out this season.

I’ve been in this position again in my career with several DNPs, so I know I need to be ready. I didn’t know if I would play today because the guys played great with a great rotation and beat Real. So, from the moment I played today, I had to be ready.

The losses changed us, we lost some games in a row and, without a doubt, we knew we had to react. However, we are slowly finding our form, our chemistry, we are a new team. We had injuries at the start but we are coming back and we have to keep this momentum going next week. That’s how we reacted, that’s how we showed our character when we were down. There will be many “ups and downs” during the year and this is not just about two games we lost.

We must constantly show our character, especially at home, which is particularly important in the Euroleague. If we want to be a top team, then we must “protect” our home ground and not allow anyone to win here. I think the scouting report of the team informs us about everything and I have to adapt to it and be able to create and distribute the ball outside and not just score. We have great shooters in the team, we saw that today and we have to keep that, distribute the ball and play that way.”
