And with the bull now o Reuben Amorim is her new coach Manchester United and the Portuguese is expected to take the reins of the team on November 11.

Until then, however, he will remain her captain Sporting Lisbon. On Friday night (01/11) the “lions” faced off against the Estrella Da Amadora for the 10th game and they destroyed it 5-1. At the press conference after the final of the match, Amorim he talked about the negative reception he received from the fans, but also referred to his decision to leave for England and more specifically Manchester.

What Ruben Amorin said in detail:

“I can’t say much. It is a situation in which people feel what they need to feel. I wanted to explain the situation. At the beginning of the season, and the president is here to confirm it, I had a conversation with him and said that whatever happens this will be my last season at Sporting. The season started and it started well. United came, paid the clause. I never discussed anything with the president. The only request I made was to go to United at the end of the season, but the English told me it was not possible, that it was now or never.

I had three days to decide something that would completely change my life. I wanted this club and this context. It’s just like Sporting. It is very difficult for me to leave. More for me than any other fan. There was no confusion at all. We must protect each other’s interests. I said I would stay for as many games as needed.”
