Velde: “It’s been a difficult season for me, but this week is good because I’ve scored two goals”

Olympiacos defeated Panserraikos with a score of 2-1, with Christopher Velde and him David Carmo to talk after the game.

Initially, the Norwegian stated that it was one difficult period for him, but this week is good after scoring two goals. Afterwards, the Portuguese commented on the match but also referred to the moment when was injured.

What Velde said:

On how he experienced the game: “It’s always nice to win. I am happy. It has been a difficult period for me but this week is good as I have scored two goals. It’s nice to win. We needed the points.”

On whether he feels like he’s better absorbing the way the team plays: “Every game is different and has a different approach. We always try to do the same thing, but sometimes things are more difficult. This game was more open. When the game is close you shoot too many times and try to score. That’s how football is, it has its ups and downs. This week has been good for us.”

While in turn Carmo commented:

On what he keeps from the game: “I think no game will be easy. We lowered the intensity and gave space to the opponent. We shouldn’t be doing this. We had to continue with the same intensity. Fortunately, however, we finished the match having won.”

On how difficult these games are for defenders: “The opposing team defends and tries to hurt us with counter-attacks. If we are uncoordinated, the ‘damage’ can be done as it happened today. That’s why we should keep our balance.”

For the moment it struck: “I got hit at one point, but I didn’t feel the need to call the doctor about it either and I continued to play the match.”
