Greece third power in the world in Jiu-Jitsu with 62 medals in the Adults and Youth World Championships

The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the categories U21, U18 and U16 ended in the most ideal way, in “Dyos Aorakia” of Heraklion, Crete.

The Greek girls won another 14 medals, four of which were gold (Xenakis, Daskalakis, Spaidiotis and Sakatis).

After the completion of the event, our country is the 3rd power in the world with 12 gold, 14 silver and 36 bronze, behind only the two superpowers of Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

In terms of total medals (62) they are second behind Kazakhstan which won 68 medals, the result of excellent work and cooperation done all the previous months by the Greek federation and of course the protagonists on the mat: the Greek champions.

Tomorrow, the curtain falls on “Dyo Aorakia” with the World Cup in the U14 category.
