Kalamata drew 1-1 with Kifissia in the matchday derby in Super League 2. The result and especially the image of the home team did not leave Dimitris Spanos satisfied, with Mavris Thyella’s coach stressing that his team should be more dominant.
He mentioned that the improvement of his team will bring more people to the stadium, while regarding the injury of Anastasopoulos he argued that everyone fears the worst but will wait for the exams.
On whether he is satisfied with the image of his team: “At all. I can’t be satisfied, except for the effort, the passion they showed, the determination, the intensity. In the first half we lacked good circulation, to have the reins of the game like in the second. I think we are a little bit bold, in the second we had something different from the first. If we have to combine the first and the second, we will have to improve, become better, have a dominant role in a match, which we have not been able to do.”
For the elements he wants to improve in Kalamata: “To be dominant in the matches, to have more of the ball at our feet, to create opportunities, to change the tempo. In the second half we really dominated. We had two goals, we conceded a penalty goal. I don’t really like what I see, and there’s another important thing I want to say. For people to come, we have to show things. Not that the kids don’t show, but we have to show more.”
On whether he has any updates on the Anastasopoulos injury: “We fear the worst, I can’t say anything for sure. We wait and see.”
