The first two matches of today’s (06/11) program of Champions League.
For her 4th matchday League Phase of the leading intercollegiate event, the Club Brugge bent at home the so far absolute Aston Villathanks to his tragic mistake Mings (1-0). While the Shakhtar Donetsk celebrated its first victory of the year by upsetting the odds against Young Boys (2-1).
The first great chances of the match came from the English side. THE Watkins with a perfect curling shot from outside the area in the 21st minute he saw the ball go narrowly wide. The same thing happened in the 24th minute with his header Magin to pass briefly over the Belgian crossbar.
Close to the goal arrived Jolis in the 30th minute, with the Greek international shooting from the edge of the area, but saw him Martins to resist with difficulty.
The Belgians took the lead with his well-timed penalty Vanaken in the 52nd minute, but the terrible thing is how this offense came about.
THE Martins set the ball up to take the out and pass to Mings who was right next to him. The English defender didn’t realize the game was being played normally and got his hands on the ball to place it on the touchline. The referee did not hesitate for a moment and pointed directly to the penalty spot and booked him Mings for this rare blunder.
The English tried to get a reaction and re-enter the match but never managed to seriously threaten the defense Bruges and 1-0 remained until the end.
At the same time the Shakhtar Donetsk achieved its first win of the season against Young Boys and even with a twist.
The Swiss started the match with him as well Imeri in the 27th minute they took the lead with their first goal of the season.
But that changed quickly as o Zubkov in the 31st minute he immediately equalized at 1-1, while o Sudakov in the 41st minute with a great shot from the edge of the large area, he completed the upset by making the final 2-1.
The visitors tried to find an equalizing goal in order to get at least their first point in the competition, but they failed to do so and left empty-handed once again.
