Ronaldo: “Even if I don’t score 1000 goals, I’m already the top scorer in the world”

THE Cristiano Ronaldo has now reached 908 career goals and marches full speed towards 1000, wanting to break a “barrier” that in other times would have seemed unthinkable.

For the Portuguese national team: “I always tell my teammates that. All the trophies I have won, including the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or, none of them are more important than playing for the national team and representing this country.

That’s why it saddens me when some players don’t want to represent their country, a small country, but we have to remember that we have everything, the infrastructure, the stadiums, the great coaches, the players. We will be great, I believe that Portugal will be successful not only in football, but also in other sports.”
