Peters: “To change defensive approach – Everyone gives their best with the time we are given”

After the difficult victory over Villerban in SEF, o Olympic travels in the afternoon to Belgrade for tomorrow’s game against Maccabi Tel Aviv (14/11, 20:00) as part of the 10th matchday of the Euroleague.

Speaking to the press representatives shortly before the departure of the team from “El. Venizelos”, the Alec Peters, he focused on the “keys” that will decide tomorrow’s match, but also on the fact that the “red and whites” will have to immediately change their defensive approach.

For the appearance against Villeurbanne: “Granted our performance yesterday was not the best but the nice thing about this league is that things like this can happen, you don’t perform well but you get the win. Now we focus on the next game. I don’t think any of us today, looking back on his performance yesterday, are proud of how he played. We have many things to improve. We showed – before the ASVEL game – that we are building something very special and now we have to get back to it.”

On what will be the keys to victory in the game against Maccabi: “Our defensive approach has to be much better. Maccabi create a game from the perimeter, they fight with many guards, they are constantly moving, they are supernatural, strong, as well as their tall… So defensively, if our approach is like yesterday then data will not be a good day for us, we will let’s keep struggling. I hope this change will come and we will be ready to face them.”
