Brazilian skateboarder Pamela Rosa, 22, won the women’s semifinal of the last stage of Street League Skateboarding (SLS), in Jacksonville, Florida, and qualified for the decision of the competition, which will be played this Sunday (14). SLS is recognized as a World Cup in the sport.
Besides her, who scored 16.2 points in the qualifying, the American Samarria Brevard (15.2 points) and the Dutch Candy Jacobs (14.8 points) and Keet Oldenbeuving (14.5 points) passed to the final.
In the final, the four will join Rayssa Leal and Japanese Momiji Nishiya and Funa Nakayama, who occupied the Olympic podium in Tokyo –the Brazilian won silver, while Nishiya won gold and Nakayama won bronze–, in addition to Dutch Roos Zwetsloot .
The quartet was already classified by the sum of the points obtained in the first two stages of the SLS, held in Salt Lake City and Lake Havasu. Rayssa won both, respectively in August and October, and leads the women’s race.
This Saturday’s dispute also included the Brazilian Marina Gabriela, who was in sixth place and was unable to qualify for the decision.
Among the men, who dispute the qualifier at 3:30 pm, Brazilian Olympic silver medalist Kelvin Hoefler will still seek a place in the decision, as will five other country representatives: Lucas Rabelo, Carlos Ribeiro, Luan Oliveira, Tiago Lemos and Filipe Mota.
Brazilian Felipe Gustavo is already guaranteed in the final, along with Americans Nyjah Huston and Alex Midler and Portuguese Gustavo Ribeiro. SportTV broadcasts the evidence.
