Vergetis: “Sometimes there is patience and sometimes not – The best friend of the coach is the results”

by

A few days ago, Mr Staikos Vergetis is past from Asteras B AKTOR and his place was taken by George Simos.

The Greek technician spoke to Metropolis and spoke for the first time about the “divorce” with Arkades, stating that a coach’s best friend is results.

His statements:

“I decided not to renew in India, even though we had two good seasons, and to return home because of family. It was quite two years and I gained experiences. Then we undertook the project with Asteras B, which will help many children to integrate into professional football, because from K19 the gap is very large”he initially reported.

On his tenure at Asteras B AKTOR:
“One was to keep the team in the division and the other was to prepare players for the big team. In football there are goals and some people who put money. Sometimes there is patience and sometimes not.

We coaches live with this hoarseness. The coach’s best friend is the result. Sending B teams that have a lot of players under 23 is not easy, but for a coach it is a project that you are happy to take on, because you are bringing out talented footballers.”

For the talents in Greece: “A very good effort is being made. We must turn to the young Greek player, all this must find other supporters and not be a firework started by PAOK and continued by Olympiacos. It starts from far back, from K14 and requires patience and perseverance”.
