Debut with gela for Amorim: United stayed in the draw with Ipswich!

by

Ruben Amorim’s tenure at Manchester United began with… the left! The “red devils” stayed at 1-1 with the Ipswich away from home, “throwing” two more points against a team that is fighting for survival. Somehow, they stayed in 12th place with 16 points and they showed the Portuguese that he has many things to change.

The match started in the most ideal way for the visitors, since just 80 seconds after the cross, they took the lead. The creator of the goal was Amad Diallowho ran all the way down the side and gave a “take and put” assist to Marcus Rashfordfor 0-1 in just the second minute, with Amorim not even celebrating, drinking his water undisturbed.

The sequel, however, was not ideal for her United. Ipswich began to press for an equalizer and finally found it in the 43rd minute. THE Omari Hutchinson converged from the right of the area and shot with the left, with Nusair Mazraoui putting his head in the path of the ball and making it difficult for Andre Onana, who was unable to stop the 1-1.

From then on, in the second half the “red devils” did not manage to threaten the opponent’s home as much as they would have liked, with Ipswich being rather more dangerous, which can be seen from the 1.75 xGoals with which they finished the match, against the “meager” performance of 0.90 for the Manchester United.
