He talked about his future in Liverpool the Mohamed Salah!
Speaking after two goals in the Premier League leaders’ win at home to Southampton, the Egyptian striker revealed that he has yet to accept a contract renewal offer from Liverpool, while expressing his frustration at the whole situation.
“It’s almost December and I still haven’t received an official offer to renew my contract, so I’m probably more likely to leave than stay after the end of the season.”the Egyptian striker initially reported, before going on to say:
“I have been here for so many years. There is no other club like Liverpool. Ultimately though, whether I stay is not in my hands. Like I said, it’s almost December and I still haven’t been approached about my future. I love Liverpool fans and they love me too. Ultimately though, the situation is neither in my hands, nor in theirs. Let’s wait and see what happens”.
He was then asked if he feels disappointed that he has yet to be formally offered a contract renewal by Liverpool, replying: “Certainly. I’m not going to retire in the next few years, so I’ll keep playing, I’m concentrating on this season and our quest to win the Premier League and the Champions League. I feel a disappointment, but we will see”.
Finally, regarding the rumored interest from Saudi Arabian teams, Salah stated that: “I don’t want to talk about it. I am completely focused on my team. I am a professional and everyone can see how hard I work. I’m just trying to enjoy the games and compete at the top level for as many years as I can. I’m giving it my all and we’ll see what happens”.
