Bartzokas: “An associate of Obradovic kept swearing at me and Tyreek Jones attacked me”

by

THE George Bartzokas spoke at the press conference about the tension in his finale match between Olympiakos and Partizan in Belgrade.

The coach of Piraeus reported abusive behavior by his partner Zeljko Obradovic throughout the match and attack by a fan of the home team, but also by Tyreek Jones!

What he said in detail:

On what was to blame for the loss: “Congratulations to Partizan. They played 40 minutes, fighting for the game. They took advantage of some issues we had in the game from our implementation. We were down 7 points in the fourth quarter. We should have had better choices in our execution. Of course we had problems, we didn’t have Moses Wright, we didn’t have Sasha Vezenkov. Fournier was ill. It’s not an excuse. We checked the game and the pace. We needed consistency for 40 minutes and we didn’t have that.”

About what happened at the end: “It’s a EuroLeague issue. Zeliko’s assistant coach, I don’t know his name, was swearing at us the whole game from the bench and I exchanged a few words with him. Then Tyreek Jones attacked me. And also a fan came down and pushed me. It’s not my job, it’s someone else’s responsibility.”
