So in the first phase, Olympic of Panagiotis Giannakis had been called to face her Orleanswhich had pushed him pretty hard on a night like this 15 years ago.

The French had welcomed the “red and white” in the context of the 6th game, with the Greek team of many stars then having the title of favorite but having difficulty inside the lines, as a result of which they reached the last quarter with a deficit of eight points (66-58 ).

The difference opened to twelve (70-58) soon, but somewhere there took action Linas Kleiza. The Lithuanian forward cut it to nine with a three-pointer with 8:25 to go and paved the way for an epic upset with an unimaginable one man show!

Within the next six minutes, Kleiza scored another 16 points, leaving Olympiakos at +4 now (82-78), scoring with five three-pointers and two two-pointers…

In the end, the Piraeus had prevailed 88-84, with the Lithuanian not being the first scorer of the winners, as the Yotam Halperin had scored 22 points.
