Volos announcement: It is not a protest against the arbitration decisions, but an indication with the sole aim of improving

by

Volos may have defeated OFI in the rematch for the Betsson Hellenic Cup (1-0), however, in combination with the first match (3-1), Milan Rastavac’s team moved to the “8” of the institution.

The Magnesia team, however, has strong complaints about the refereeing and expressed them in a statement, stressing that they only made this move with the aim of improvement.

The announcement in detail:

“PAE Volos has decided to avoid protests for the arbitration decisions against it, wanting in this way to contribute to the upgrading of the Greek league.

However, we are obliged to point out that Vergetis and Koumbarakis should have been more careful in their decisions in yesterday’s cup match with OFI.

Decisions that were not only for the benefit of football.

So we would like to be informed by the otherwise quiet Mr. Lanois:

In the 20th minute, is there an offensive foul on the OFI goalkeeper or a penalty?

In the 39th minute phase, was Bernardo correctly given a red or should our player be punished with a yellow card? And if in the end our footballer was correctly sent off, why wasn’t Foundas punished with the same penalty for a similar marking on Glavcic in the second half?

In closing, we would like to emphasize once again that all of the above is not a protest against the arbitration decisions, but a remark with the sole aim of improving Greek arbitration”.
