The three Greek handball teams who continue in the competition found out their opponents in the round of 16 of the men’s European Cup today (6/12), following the draw held at the headquarters of the European Federation, in Vienna.
The Greek “civil war” was avoided, as the -last year’s finalist- Olympiakos/Omilos Xini will face Drammen, with the first meeting taking place in Norway. On her part, AEKwhich won the trophy in the institution in the 2020-21 season, will face Krka from Slovenia and play the first game on Greek soil, while the Diomedes of Argos “fell” with Partizan, who will host the “wolves” in Belgrade, in the first… half of the “duel” between them.
The pairings resulting from the draw for the ’16’ of the European Cup Men:
Runar Sandefjord (Norway) – Besiktas (Turkey)
Drammen (Norway) – Olympiacos/Omilos Xyni (GREECE)
