They “broke” the timers in Budapest

Summer Mackintosh continued her impressive performances on Tuesday in the women’s 400m at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest. The Canadian champion finished in 3.51.30 in the event final and broke the 3.50.25 of China’s Benjie Li from 2022. This is also a North and Central American record.

Gretchen Walls continued where she left off in the Hungarian capital in the women’s 50m butterfly. The American champion finished in the semifinals of the event in 13.94 to break the 24″ she finished in the event preliminaries and set a new world record, becoming the first swimmer to break 24″.

“Dolphin” and Noe Ponti. The Swiss finished in the semi-finals of the 50m butterfly in 21.43 and smashed his own 21.50 from Singapore last month.

“Super” Kate Douglas in the women’s 200m medley. The American champion finished in the final in 2.01.63 to break Katinka Hosu’s 2.01.86 from 2014.

The US women’s 4X100 relay team is impressive. Kate Douglas, Kathryn Berkoff, Alex Shackel and Gretchen Walsh finished in the event final in 3.25.01 to beat Australia’s 3.25.43 from 2022.
