Anthony Randolph retired at 35

by

The decision to withdraw was announced by Anthony Randolph at the age of 35.

The American power forward with a Slovenian passport had a great career in Europe, winning the EuroLeague twice with Real Madrid (2018, 2023), as well as the EuroBasket with Slovenia (2017). Earlier, he had played in 257 games in the NBA, in the Warriors, Knicks, Timberwolves and Nuggets, while in Europe his first stop was Lokomotiv Kuban, where he worked with Giorgos Bartzokas.

In the last years of his career he suffered from very serious injuries and essentially from the summer of 2023 he was inactive.

After 15 years, I am retiring from basketball. It was a trip full of unforgettable moments, many titles and memories that will last a lifetime. I am grateful to all those with whom I worked. Basketball gave me more than I could have dreamed of and shaped me as both a player and a person. I look forward to the next chapter and the next opportunities to continue to grow and deliver“, he says in his message.
