Two former international players are in contact to settle a financial dispute between them. THE Zisis Bryzas he had borrowed 65,000 euros from his friend and teammate, Dimitris Salpingidisin 2013 and under a private agreement, he had to return them by the end of that year, which he did not do.
Two years later the two sides signed an amended contract to repay the money. According to the second agreement, the loans had to be repaid by the beginning of 2016. This did not happen, and in October of the same year, Dimitris Salpingidis sent an extrajudicial letter to Zisis Vryzas asking for the money to be paid with interest within three days. However, he appears not to have done so and the case went to justice.
After the extent of the issue in the media, the attorney of Dimitris Salpingidis, Giorgos Vitas, issued a press release in which it is emphasized that his client’s side does not wish to pursue the matter any further. Information indicates that the two sides are in contact for an out-of-court settlement.
Specifically, the press release states:
“On the occasion of publications, which have been in the news from time to time due to a financial debt owed to me, I would like to state the following:
My relations with Zisis Vryzas count for many years. They still exist to this day, as does our communication, which has not been interrupted at any point in time. Any financial pending between us concerns me and Zisi only and I do not wish for any disclosure or further presentation whatsoever. The fact that all these years, neither I, nor the attorney for me or Zisi Vryzas, have made any statement, information, announcement, should say something to all of them, who, based on a judicial event, overflow many times reality and create fiction.
The settlement of the backlog, the way it will be done, concerns me personally. I will not return further on this matter, which for me closes here and I do not wish for any further clarification».
