THE Kostas Fortounis spoke to Nova and mentioned his return to National team of Greece. The Greek forward revealed that he has spoken with him many times Ivan Jovanovich whom he had earlier glorified.
Then, he emphasized that we should never say never about something, however Fortune he noted that the Serbian coach has given him time to think about his return and to call him whenever he wants.
What he said in detail:
“With the National Team it is as always. I love her, I have played for many years. From a young age I was there and I am blessed to have great teammates. I like that at the moment the national team is at a very good level, it has a very good coach and I am happy that it is in this position.
For me, the chapter of the national team is very difficult. I had made a decision then, I support it and I supported it. Certainly a lot has changed, the coach has changed. A lot has changed in the team. I have spoken many times with Mr. Jovanovic.
He is a very good coach, a remarkable person, his work counts and we see that wherever he has gone his teams play good football. Never say never, but right now I’m not in that phase.
I have spoken with him many times. We talked about a lot of things that concerned us, mainly football and mainly how much he wants me to be there. The answer was difficult. I didn’t answer him completely, neither yes nor no. So I left it a bit and Mr. Jovanovic left it up to me to decide and call him whenever I want.”
