Bartzokas: “We gave everything for the victory in a very interesting game – Vezenkov played with a fever”

Olympiacos managed to leave with the important victory from Milan and the headquarters of Armani for the 18th matchday of the Euroleague, with the coach of the “red and whites”, George Bartzokasspeaking at the press conference stressing that his team gave everything for the win, while revealing that Vezenkov was playing with a fever.

In detail what the coach of Olympiakos said:

“Merry Christmas everyone. It was a very interesting game with each team giving everything for the win. For us it was important to get back to winning away from home after the ones we achieved at home. Especially against Armani who is a play off contender. Every win counts. The fact that we lost Milutinov a day before the trip and that Vezhenkov was playing with a fever meant that we had to overcome those kinds of issues and we did. Armani always had the answer when we were ahead, trying to finish the game. They always responded and in the end it was decided by the defense, where they went wrong. Good luck to Ettore and Armani”.

On the technical penalty he picked up in the first half and how confused the refs looked: “I didn’t do it on purpose. We tried to target Faul against Mirotic and it was a possession where I was sure there were two fouls before the steps. I just complained. In the second part they did the same with Armani. If anyone says it was important, the same can be said for the second half. In the final, the players play, shoot, fight for the teams. I’m just on the bench supporting them”.
