He sank Leicester with a reversal and… Liverpool lost at the top!

by

OR Leicester took to foggy Merseyside with an appetite for damage, but the Liverpool avoid… banana peels, won 3-1 with a reversal and escaped to +7 from their pursuers with a match in hand – while leaving the “foxes” in the Premier League relegation zone.

The match started with the worst omens for the “reds”, as only in the 6th minute the Saint froze Anfield with a shot from inside the area.

The home side pushed for an equalizer and, after Salah hit the post (44′), leveled at 1-1 with a superb effort from Gakpo in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half.

The second part started in exactly the same way, as in the 49th Jones scored from close range from McAllister’s through ball to completely turn the tide.

Liverpool had a goal disallowed by Gakpo for offside in the 68th minute, however in the 82nd Salah finished the match scoring with a great finish.

In the last minutes, he also came on as a substitute Kostas Tsimikas.
