Passing… Champion from Cagliari with Lautaro!

by

Inter Milan did the right thing in Cagliari on Saturday night in the final Serie A game before 2024 departs and the new year arrives. Although things were tough in the first half, three goals in the second half gave the Nerazzurri their 5th consecutive league victory with a final score of 3-0.

Lautaro Martinez, who in the first half missed a header – a fish with which he would have easily entered into moments with the biggest missed opportunities of the season, managed in the second half to find the net and expel a very heavy burden. The Argentinian scored for the first time since early November and contributed to the positive result, which can only bode well for Inter’s pursuit of back-to-back Scudettos going forward.

It was “Toro” who made it 2-0 in the 71st minute with a header from Barela’s cross, with the latter having also scored the Champions’ first goal. It was Bastoni who had opened the scoring for the Milan club in the 53rd minute with a wonderful low-hanging header, while the final 3-0 was made by Tsalhanoglou from the white bullet in the 78th minute.
