Kanaan: “It was a difficult end of the year for me, I lost three close people in one month”

A confession about the difficulties he went through in the last period of time was made by Isaiah Canaan. The former and current guard of Olympiakos Red Star revealed that the end of 2024 has been very difficult for him, as he lost three loved ones in a short period of time.

At the same time, he emphasized that he is trying to stay optimistic despite these difficulties, while referring to the course of his “red and whites”. Belgrade this year’s season.

What he said in detail:

“The end of the year was difficult for me, I lost three close people in one month. That’s life… In time, you have to learn to deal with life’s challenges within your family and with yourself. You try to separate your private from your professional life and deal with the best you can, with the support of the people who are close to you. Life goes on…

Whenever I see kids who admire me or support me, it means a lot to me. Whenever I have a chance to say something to them, I say a few words to them, because I know it means a lot to them. If I were in their position and had the opportunity to speak to my role model or someone I admire, anything they would say to me, words of encouragement, I would enjoy and listen to. So, I try to do the same for them.

All in all, it was a good year for me and my family. I am healthy, I can support my family, I play the game I love, I am blessed. I’m looking forward to the second part of the season. I’m happy with how our team is now. Joel (a.k.a. Boloboi) is back, Brown is here, all of that will help us move forward. My wish is to keep winning games, playing at a high level and, with all the negatives that are happening, try to stay positive and radiate positive energy, move towards my goals and dreams.”
