Panathinaikos-PAOK: Continuation of the “green” undefeated or “black and white” victory?

by

With a very interesting matchup at OAKA closes 13th matchday her Stoiximan GBL. Panathinaikos welcomes PAOK, with both teams doing very well in the league.

The “seven stars”, who are at the top with a record of 12-0, are facing their third consecutive home game after those against Mars and her Carditsaand is expected to have several thousand followers on his side. At the same time, the “greens” come from their fourth consecutive European victory, with a score of 111-90 against Virtus. Their goal is, obviously, to continue their “absolute” course in championshipagainst a competitive opponent.

PAOK (3rd, 7-5) comes from four consecutive victories, after prevailing in its turn Prometheus of Patras within, of Colossus of Rhodes within, of Karditsa besides him Peristeriou at home. It is his longest streak in the last four seasons, with Massimo Cancellieri deified for the work he has done for the team. The “bi-head of the north” is apparently the outsiderbut he wants to take advantage of his good form and claim the victory.

Regarding the competition, Panathinaikos does not count on Matias Lessor and Marius Grigonis, while it will have to “cut” a foreigner from the seven it has. The candidate is Jerian Grantwho felt some discomfort in his right ankle against Virtus and may be on the sidelines. On the other hand, PAOK does not face injury problems.

We remind you that the first match between the two teams, which took place on October 12, was extremely competitive, as no one ever reached a lead of more than eight points. THE Panathinaikos managed to leave the PAOK Sports Arena, which was empty due to suspension, victorious, 96-93.

It is worth noting that this match has been rescheduled and will take place in the early afternoon, so that people will have time to go home and watch the football derby Panathinaikos-PAOK (20:30), which will be held at OAKA behind closed doors due to punishment of the “greens”.

The long history of the matches between the two teams, which began in the period 1964-65 and has continued since then without interruption, leads them to 160 meeting between them.
