In the same event last year, he was one victory away from the podium, eventually finishing sixth. Christos Saini’s athlete is ranked No. 13 in the world and No. 9 among the participants in the event, so she is guaranteed direct qualification to the main draw of the “64” that will start at 10:00 a.m. next Sunday.

A total of 141 athletes from 256 different countries will participate in the event, with the “silver” Olympic champion and No1 in the world, Sara Balzer, and the winner of the last two events, Hayoung Jeon, standing out.

As for the top 10 in the world ranking, they chose to stay away from the event, the Olympic gold medalist, Manon Apiti-Brunet (France | FIE No2), the “bronze” Olympic medalist Olga Karlan (Ukraine | FIE No5), but also Dora Gundura ( FIE No7), which will be more selective in its competitions in the post-Olympic season.
