Whorkshop EPO with OneForthegame for new identity and vision in football

With a strategic goal of improving the base to show long -term benefits for Greek football, EPO was 26 to 29/01 Workshop with the OneForthegame, specializing in football development. The collaboration was decided in the light of the need to acquire Greek football new identity and vision, starting from a young age.

The composition of OneForthegame, of Dutch origin, includes former players, coaches, technical directors and technocrats of football, with a tenure in Ajax and other Dutch clubs, but also in national Netherlands and Belgium, among other things, with specialization and know -how Academies and training programs for young age. Their plans are based on scientific data. Initial field of inspiration for the organization has been the model of the development of the great Johann Cruyff, originally applied to Barcelona with the well -known impressive results and has now evolved and adapted to the times of the times, applied to many football organizations.

The four -day workshop included a presentation of the Dutch and Belgian development model, with references to other advanced countries such as France, as well as developing football countries such as the US and Japan, which work with OneForthegame. There were also cases of modern world -class players such as Kilian Ebabe and discussed the course of their development from an early age.

On the part of the EPO team, headed by the chairman of the National Team Committee and a member of the Executive Committee Costas Vrakas, a wide range of development issues concerned with Greek football, advantages, disadvantages and specialties to make the organization of development, so that the experts are concerned. They have a complete picture and develop the right program for Greek football reality. The Federation will then apply the OneForthegame guidelines and will begin implementing the Education and Development Program entitled “Renaissance“, Based on Johann Cruyff’s vision for football and applied by the Federations of the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium and China, as well as by European clubs. As part of the workshop, training was held at the Academy of Astera Caesarian.

From the Federation, Pantelis Hatzimarinakis, also a member of the Executive Committee and Vice -Chairman of the National Team Committee, the Chairman of the Technical Committee and the Grassroots Committee of the EPO, was attended by the Federation. National Men, Vassilis Torosides, the Technical Director of the National Women’s and Infrastructure Groups, Dimitris Papadopoulos, the Technical Director of Education, Costas Tsanas, the Grassroots Manager Christos Siskos and the Special Advisor by Yiannis Samaras. In terms of federal techniques were the coach and Assistant Coach of the National K17, Vassilis Papadakis and Vassilis Sportos respectively, the coach of K15 Panos Karagiannis and K21 analyst George Polymeneas.

Mr. Costas Vrakas said the following after the end of the first laboratory work:

“Working with the OneForthegame Organization aims to create a new football development plan in our country, from the age of 3 to adulthood, as both President Makis Gagatsis and everyone in the EPO is clearly distinguished. In the most critical field of football, young age training for boys and girls. The aim is to establish new structures on two central axes, academies of the clubs and the infrastructure departments of the EPS and national teams, so that the whole Greek football benefits can benefit.

We have honestly exposed both the advantages and the weaknesses of Greek football in matters of organization and education of children. For their part, the organization’s experts have presented the development models used in other countries, will process the data they have received and will propose a multifaceted development plan adapted to Greek reality. The Federation will evaluate it and implement it. These types of programs are long -term, so it takes work, organization and primarily patience, so that the expected results can come over time. ”

EPO’s collaboration with OneForthegame includes another workshop, which will take place in the near future.
