Sfederski: “Fighter Spirit and a mood for running against Vikingur”

by

THE Spincet talked to his matchday magazine Panathinaikos In view of the home match with the Vikingur For the Conference League playoffs and mentioned the information that ‘Green“To secure the qualification.

“All players know that it takes a run, mood and militant spirit to get the desired results. And this is what we will try to do in the rematch with Vikingour. We will do everything for qualifying! “ He said characteristically.

Read in his interview what he says about his return to Greece, Panathinaikos and his contribution to assists:

You’ve completed about a month in Panathinaikos. How are the first days in the team? Did you adjust?

I have changed teams in my career but I think here in Panathinaikos, from the first day I came, it was very easy and comfortable to adapt. The changing rooms are really good, the training staff is excellent, just like all people who work and are around the team. Everyone welcomed me very warmly, which made my adjustment much easier and comfortable. I felt like I was in Panathinaikos for a long time …

Did you help more in your adaptation that you found enough familiar faces in the group?

Naturally! We have known Dragovsky for many years. From our youth in Poland. I know Ingasson and Limnio from PAOK, Mlenovic from the Polish Championship, where we have played opponents. And we have played with Javella. Difficult opponent (laughs)!

On a racing level do you feel that you are adapting to the team?

Playing with a game I feel better. I knew it wouldn’t be easy for me to start because the January period is always difficult, and at the same time I had no preparation on my feet. My last game was last November with Poland. So you understand that I need some time to find the necessary racing pace to get to the level I want and where I can. But I am pleased that I quickly started finding time in the team.

As the days and the games go by, do you feel better in the field with the team’s game and the partnerships you have with your teammates?

When the team plays well and creates attacks and opportunities, it is always better and easier for striker. The previous week was difficult as we lost in three consecutive games. Fortunately, we put an end to this negative series by defeating Volos in the league. It was important that we won and it was important for me when I was on the pitch, I played basic and got the three points we so wanted. I hope this game is the beginning for a good time for our team by the end of the season.

You are looking for your first goal with Panathinaikos, but you already have two assists and contribution to wins. Does it give you confidence in the continuation of your beginning?

Certainly the first thing the strikers look and want is the goal. This is our main job. However, when the team wins, even if I do not score, I never complain because above all and everything is the team. Nevertheless, I already have two assists in my assets and this is important because I helped the team in the victories over OFI and Volos. So is the life of the striker, and it’s nice, whether you score or give assists. You may not have a good performance for 90 minutes and in one phase come the goal that will give the win. It’s nice when it happens!

We see almost every week that there are no easy games. Every match has a final character. What is the mentality that Panathinaikos should have from now on?

The Greek Championship has become very demanding. There are no easy games. You play with teams that are theoretically weaker and have less quality than the four adults, but they are very competitive. Whatever the opponent plays against Panathinaikos, he does everything to beat. It plays at 150%! So you have to always be on the alert, always focused on the goal and always determined to win. You should not even underestimate an opponent by considering that you will have an easy task. It’s never easy. And especially if you conced a first goal, it gets even more difficult to recover. That is why I am pleased with the victory we achieved against Volos and the mentality we had since the beginning of the race. We fought, we ran, we were all together as a team and we got to victory.

Following is another “final” against Vikingur, and even very demanding and difficult, given the defeat in the first game. What information does the team have to get to the qualification?

I think that if we give 100% and we are committed to the goal and determined to win, we can beat any opponent. If we have this character in our game, we can achieve everything. The most important of all is our racing behavior, the militant spirit and the mood for running. We have great individual and team quality but all players know that it takes running, mood and militant spirit to get the desired results. And this is what we will try to do in the rematch with Vikingour. We will do everything for the qualification!

Was it a loud bell for the team the defeat in Helsinki by Vikingur?

Sure yes! Sometimes you may think you will be easily defeated, but things evolve differently in the pitch. You get a goal and then you look for a way to get back. It is not easy, even against less quality teams. So I repeat that you should always be on alert and always play 100%. But I am sure that if we react and play with the mentality we had against Volos last Sunday, then we will qualify for the next phase.

What brought you to Panathinaikos? What was it that prompted you to wear the clover jersey?

Panathinaikos is a huge club with a long history and passionate fans. The club’s approach of the club certainly played a very important role. The truth is that I wanted to return to Greece for a while. Even when I was in Italy, where everyone was saying how nice life is there, I was thinking from day one that it didn’t even approach Greece! I really love Greece and the lifestyle here. I love to live in this country. Here my son was born! So speaking with my agent I told him that if there was the opportunity, I would like to return to Greece. And I am very pleased that our roads with Panathinaikos met. It is my honor to wear this jersey!
