Senkefeld: “To be united – to show our value on the court”

by

The need to win the victory in today’s match against Panetoliko was brought by Bart Schekeflend in his statements in the match schedule.

The Greens defender pointed out that it is important that there is a gathering not to affect the players from what is said and to get as many wins in the match as possible.

In detail what he mentioned in Matchday Mag of “Green” PAE:

Panathinaikos comes from a very bad result in Lamia. How should the team react?

“We have to go back to the basics. We have to play in spirit, as a team. We have to be collective, to be united. We should not think much, nor can we hear the noise from the outside. Everyone in the team, especially those who are in the field, must feel that there is energy, that we are all awakened and that we have to fight to the end. At these moments, first and foremost, it is not so much to play fantastically as to return where we belong, where we have shown that we can move football. ”

Indeed, the team has shown what it can do football. But there are also moments of inactivity in the costs that cost. What should be to deal with this situation?

“We have to find balance in our game. Keep in mind what we need to do without losing our minds. We must not be very dramatic. There is a lot of … emotion. We see it in the games when things are not going well. There are definitely many struggles and pressure. There is physical and mental fatigue. There are no excuses though. We have to go back to the basics. We should not think very much and over -analyze it. I repeat that we should not be so emotional. We should not be influenced if things are going well or bad. In a sense, we need to learn to act as machines. At the end of the day we have to learn from all that is happening and to rally. But always, the end of the day, brings a new day, a new race. And what we have ahead of us must be the goal and what we have to deal with. Everyone feels bad in the team. All! But after two days, you can’t stay stuck in what has happened. You have to talk, you have to learn, but you have to continue. And we did this in this case … “.

Following is the game with Panetolikos, which is a difficult and dangerous opponent. Anyway, as it has been shown, there are no easy races. What is the mentality you should have by entering the field?

“It is true that no game is easy. We have to make it easy. And it’s simple sometimes. If we all win the duels inside the court, and if each of us runs a meter more and for his neighbor, we will gain confidence in the field and things will go smoothly. And so everything will come as we want. Undoubtedly, the quality exists in Panathinaikos. But the quality will appear on the pitch if we get tension as a team. ”

Panathinaikos is left eight points away from the top. How should the team manage the situation from now on?

“What we need to do is just see the next game. Only the game we have in front of us. We have to make it very simple and very clear. We have to play games with the game and face each match as if it were the final. We can neither see the rating nor look away. The only way for us is to keep in mind only the game that is coming. Only what we have in front of us. We have to win it and move on to the next. ”

After Panetoliko there is a major European challenge against Fiorentina for the 16 Conference League. What does this match for the team mean?

“It’s a big European game with a big opponent. This is a great challenge for everyone in the club. And we all look forward to these matches. Panathinaikos returned to 16 of a European event and this is very important. But we can talk all day and analyze things and situations. I’m not such a guy. If I do something wrong, I’m the first to blame myself. But at the end of the day, I and all of us have to show our value on the court. ”

You have fought 164 times with the Panathinaikos jersey, which you are wearing for six years. Almost half a career in a footballer’s life … looking back, how do you feel?

“I hug! I embrace everything I have lived in the group and everything he has given me to be able to offer my family. So I very much appreciate the team owner for all that I live. I won’t say it was always perfect. But I always gave everything. People can judge me and say whatever they want. Has the right. But on the day I leave, I will know I gave everything. People don’t know it, and it’s reasonable, but they don’t know what to do to play a match. Pain, treatments, injections … do not know and do not see it and I understand it. But I, and the people around me know. It makes sense when you are on the court to criticize you, but I am talking about myself and looking back – if I was good or bad the world will judge – sure is that leaving for a while I will know that I have given everything … “.
