PA Panathinaikos announces the launch of its cooperation with Orthopedic Surgeon Dionysis Hissa, who is head of the team’s medical staff.
Dr. Dionysis Hissas is the Director of the Department of Robotic Orthopedics at Metropolitan Hospital and a Scientific Associate at the Health Hospital. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is a specialized orthopedic surgeon. He was awarded a Doctor of Democritus University, and was trained to St. Josef Hospital of Essen (Germany), at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals (United Kingdom) and Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, Florida (USA). He is certified in the United States for Robotic Surgery – MAKO with an international role in the training of doctors in the field of Robotic Orthopedic Surgery. He is considered one of the pioneers of robotic orthopedics in Greece. He is the head of the SEGAS Sports Center and is a member of the Medical Committee of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. He was a physician of the Greek Olympic mission at the London Olympics in 2012 and Rio in 2016.

Also, the medical staff is reinforced by physiotherapists Panagiotis Petropoulos, Yiannis Steka and Fotis Sotiriou, but also with the rehabilitation trainer, Panagiotis Papatheodorou.
