Dragovsky: “Let’s give what we have against Fiorentina, a special match for me”

by

One of the central persons in his duels Panathinaic With Fiorentina will be Bartlomyi Dragovsky. Not only his value, but also because he will face his team for many years.

THE Polish goalkeeper He gave his mark on the two games of the “clover” with “Viola”, speaking to Matchday Mag, prepared by the “Greens” in view of today’s match (6/3, 19:45) at the OAKA.

In detail what he said:

Panathinaikos has a big European challenge ahead of him as Fiorentina’s clashes give the conference League quarter -finals. What is the situation in the team?

“The last victory we achieved in the championship against Panetolikos was certainly auxiliary to the following race. We know that the confrontation with Fiorentina will be demanding and difficult. After all, this is a team that has reached two consecutive years in the final of the Conference League. We know that it will not be easy for an excellent and quality set, but we are ready. We know what team is and what we can expect from them on the pitch, as we know the potential we have as a team. What we have to do is go out on the pitch and give what we have and do not have the qualification. ”

You have fought in Fiorentina in the past and you know the character of the club. Have you attended this year’s matches? Do you have a picture of the racing situation at the moment?

“As a player I always try to watch football. I definitely have a picture of Fiorentina. I haven’t seen all the games he has given, but I have watched some matches. It’s not easy when kids are awake at home (laughs)! So I usually watch the evening matches. Fiorentina is a very good team. It has the ability to circulate the ball well and be very compact when it defends. I think there will be two very demanding and competitive matches. ”

You’ve spent a six -year period in Florence and Artemio Frankie. What are your feelings before the Fiorentina clashes? Do you have good memories?

“All families have up and down, good, very good or less good memories. This is normal in the world of football. It will definitely be something special for me to face Fiorentina. I was there for six years and I have a nice feeling when I think of this team and the people I met there. ”

Qualification is a great motivation for both teams. There is a big “I want” on both sides. How can this evolve into the court? What game are you waiting for?

“It is always difficult to appreciate how a race can go until you get out on the pitch. It is certain that at this point we are in, both teams want it very much. For our part, we want this qualification very much. And so will Fiorentina. Certainly the first game is very important before we go to the rematch. It is important to win and go to Florence with the victory even with a goal. What I personally do, and the whole team, is to prepare and prepare as best as possible to appear on the pitch with the best possible performance. ”

What should the team do inside the court to increase its chances of qualifying?

“Surely we have to be focused on the first to the first to the last second of the race. This is important because as we have seen in previous matches, there are times when we lose our concentration, we conced a goal and then we are faced with difficult situations. So I think we need to be 100% concentrated and run like … crazy! If we have these two elements, I believe that our quality will go out on the pitch. ”

The European season began for Panathinaikos last July and the team has already played 14 games in the European Cups. Do you think that the course you have made and your journey so far has brought the team to a better level of preparedness in view of the Fiorentina matches?

“We are in one phase of the season, having given many games in the league, Europe and the Cup, which we have no excuses. We have to be ready and we have to show it on the court. ”

Panathinaikos returns to the 16 European competition phase for the first time since 2010. Since the club has Europe in its DNA, Fiorentina races are an important milestone for the step up in recent years. Is this something that gives you extra motivation?

“I really hope to do it! Because what I see from everyone in the time I am in the team is that they are trying to rebuild a great Panathinaikos. Everyone in the club is trying to bring Panathinaikos to the level of the former. To make Panathinaikos again a leading team and a team that does not bend and does not easily lose in Europe. That is why I, for my part, as well as the other children in the group, will try to give everything to bring the club where it is worth it. We have fantastic fans and we have a fantastic group of people around us in the team. So we will do everything because Panathinaikos is worth it! ”

The cup was lost and in the league the team is eight points from the top. Do you think Europe is a way to get a better outcome in the season we are going through?

“First of all we don’t know how the rest of the season will go. It’s not over yet. For our part, we need to do everything to achieve our goals and in the end we will see what we have achieved. We always try to do the best in all three events. Unfortunately we were excluded in the cup in the last minute. Certainly the -8 from the top is a long distance, but the season is not over. We cannot stay stuck in what happened in the past. We have to see ahead. And we will do everything to claim our chances. At the same time we have the Conference which is a great challenge and we want to get as far as we can. We will play every game from now on to win. ”

-8 in the league creates a difficult condition in achieving the goal of winning the title. How should the team go by the end of the season?

“Play game! This is the only way. You should not look at the rating and make calculations. You just have to look at how to win the game that follows. And after the next one and goes saying. And in the end, we will see the rating and make our account. In football everything is possible! ”

You have completed a year in the group. How do you feel in Panathinaikos?

“I’m really very pleased! On the football side I am happy to be in Panathinaikos in such a large team. Certainly there are up and down in football, since the results do not always come as we want them. But I am very happy to be fighting for Panathinaikos. As I am also happy to have around me in the group, people who help and make me feel very comfortable and very familiar. ”

Beyond football how is life in Athens?

“It’s unlikely! My family feels fantastic. My kids enjoy it. The weather is much better than Poland. They can be out every day and play. We are very happy. So what I have to say is a big thank you to Panathinaikos. And for my part I have to pay back it with my performance on the court. “
