Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski from Kyriakos Mitsotakis, coming to the Brussels Summit in Brussels, was particularly cordial.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about the need for a comprehensive examination of the security of the European continent in the meantime during his intervention in European defense in the ongoing European Council Summit in Brussels. The Prime Minister informed Zelenski about the positions with which Greece comes to the European Council and reiterated the European Union’s commitment to a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Emphasized that this requires significant reinforcement of EU defense capabilities and Ukraine, as well as American support.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed that Greece will continue to support Ukraine.

Mitsotakis ‘big decisions’

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, coming to the European Council Summit, welcomed the European Commission’s proposals to be discussed today, stressing that Greece and himself were personally fighting to convince the institutions that these changes should have been made here.

“The hours of the big decisions for the EU have arrived,” said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Concerning decisions on Ukraine and its further support, the prime minister noted that the US should also be involved in this effort, as well as security guarantees.

“At the same time, in our attempt to support Ukraine to achieve a fair and sustainable solution, we must in no way abandon the effort to involve the United States in this new figure of a sustainable peace, which will be based, first and foremost,. It is important to be able to provide Ukraine security guarantees the next day and the United States should also participate in this security guarantees.
